Bonjour snow bank.

Talk about a nice Sunday drive!

I'm not sure how we made it home from Chicago, but I can tell you how we didn't.. highways.
94 = closed
196 = most of it closed, all of it should have been.
Chicago Dr. East = hilarious/sad watching people drive right into snow banks. And when I say people, I mean dodge neons.

Joe, unsure if we are in a field or on a road. But of course still smiling.

I got home and couldn't look out half of our windows because snow piles over them and seeps into the apartment. Our heat is blaring. You know who doesn't notice? Domesticated animals.

Jack will only drink warm water from a running faucet... the hardships of a house cat.

All my single ladies!

holiday 001

631 E. Fulton has its Christmas tree up, and I'm going to go ahead and take a wild guess that we are the only tenants in our building who have one. I'd be surprised if Roger, who lives above us and frequently drops all 24 of his empty Black Label cans down the stairs when heading towards the outside trash, isn't much of a Scrooge.

Joe put up multi-colored lights in the kitchen that "twinkle." And when I say "twinkle" I mean the purple lights blink on and off because they get really hot and can't handle the voltage. Thanks Menards.

Next weekend is CHRISTMAS PARTY XTRAVAGANZA DETROIT 2 CHICAGO, so this weekend we are going to cool out, enjoy the snow and annoy the cats.

Completely unrelated: I've watched Beyonce's new video an embarassing amount of times:
